About Me

I’m Rebecca Johnson, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Roseville, California - here to guide you through life’s most complex and difficult matters. I am currently licensed in CA (99028), CO (0001722), and FL (TPMF608). Since 2010, I have provided a number of specialized mental health and therapeutic services to those dealing with challenging life experiences.

I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University in 2010. After a few years of working in the field I pursued a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Brandman University where I graduated in 2014. I became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in April of 2017 after completing over 3000 supervised hours (LMFT #99028). I have worked in social service agencies in Colorado, Oregon, and California. Over the last 10 years I have been privileged to serve Placer County through local non-profits and now in my own private practice.  I have also completed specialized training in perinatal and postpartum counseling, Prepare Enrich (Couples Therapy), EMDR (Trauma), Brainspotting (Trauma), and am currently completing my AASECT sex therapy certification.

I also serve as the Chief Operating Officer for Dancy Perinatal. I am honored to help guide a growing network of highly trained and incredible therapists.

On a more personal note, I am blessed to be the mother of 2 beautiful children and an amazing bonus daughter. I understand many challenges of blended families, coparenting, and navigating the complexities of parenting with different cultural backgrounds.  I find balance and restoration through nature, laughter, and experiencing new things. In session, I am open, authentic, and warm. I believe therapy is a relationship between people and works through connection, understanding, and vulnerability. I love to celebrate wins, laugh together, and hold space for hard and tender moments.
